About Me

I am a PhD student at McGill University and Mila – Quebec AI Institute, under the supervision of Blake Richards and Daniel Levenstein . Working at the intersection of AI and neuroscience.I’ve previously done AI research at Valence Labs and Huawei.I'm also actively involved in the startup world, helping startups find value with AI as a Scientist-in-Residence at NextAI and a proud Front Row Ventures alum!

Research Interests

In my PhD, I investigate neural computations of normalization in brains and machines, with biologically inspired neural architectures. My work spans deep learning, optimization, computational neuroscience, and out-of-distribution generalization.

Selected Publications

  • Inhibitory normalization of error signals improves learning in neural circuits (paper)

  • Sequential predictive learning is a unifying theory for hippocampal representation and replay (paper)

  • AUTOKD: Automatic Knowledge Distillation Into A Student Architecture Family (paper)
